We are excited to begin this new year, and celebrate our tenth year serving on the Navajo Nation in just a few months. We are also thankful that restrictions from Covid have begun to lift in our area and it looks like we will be able to have a summer of ministry outreach once again.
If you are interested in coming to the Navajo Nation and conducting a Mission Trip we need you to reach out to us ASAP as we have began putting together our summer activities calendar and will have limited opportunities for groups. This summer we will celebrate our 70th year as a church in Mexican Water, Az. We will be having past missionaries come to preach for us, a trail ride, and a mutton feast. This is an exciting event for our church family, and we are prayerful we will have a good turnout from the community.
With the restrictions lifting we have been able to begin visitation outreach again. We minister in a very rural area with no subdivision type of housing, and lots of side roads. A few weeks ago we had a group gather for visitation and we each headed in a different direction. It appeared that we were welcomed at many of the homes as we shared who we were and invited them to join us for Sunday Services. We still serve a meal each Sunday afternoon for a time of fellowship.
NEW 2020: In our last News Letter we shared that we had some exciting news for 2020. The Lord has burdened our hearts to further the mission work that we have been doing for the past ten years. Many of you know that Andy has worked bi-vocational since we moved to this area and began mission work. It is our goal for Andy to be full time in the ministry this year. Please consider recommending us for support, or sharing with us a contact that we can share our mission burden to. We are currently at 55% of the support that we need for Andy to be full time in mission work.
ALSO NEW: NARROW PATH MINISTRY ~ Fall of 2021 the Lord burdened our heart to officially name and expand our back country ministry. Andy has been helping men and pastors navigate the Colorado back country since 2015, and many of them have been successful in harvesting their big game tags. It is our love for the back country, our necessity to provide healthy food for our family, and our desire to raise our own children able to navigate the mountainside that has led us to expand this area of our ministry. Please consider joining us SUMMER 2022 for our first Back Country Camping Trip. Andy will take men or teenage boys (age 12-16 with a sponsor, 17+ with no sponsor) on July 28th-31sts. This trip will include 3 nights, and two full days in the back country of Colorado, and will conclude spending Sunday with us at church on the Reservation. Slots will be very limited and there will be a small cost and specific supply list needed for this trip. Our 2022 Fall Hunting is FULL, but if you are interested in hunting in Colorado please contact Andy to be placed on the 2023 list.
